The afternoon is kept free for you to explore the area around Askeli, you can take a refreshing swim in the clear blue sea or relax by the nearby pool. At 14.30 starts the first cooking class, we start with a small tour of the kitchen and garden, with all the fresh herbs that we will be using during our cooking lessons . Around 17.00 hours, you return for an aperitif and start finalizing dinner. Then you can enjoy all specialties you prepared in a lovely relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere.
Day 3. Monday: After an early breakfast we start with a historical walk into Poros, you’ll walk through the small alleys and pass by at the fish market in the port. Here you can choose from an extensive range of fresh fish and other local ingredients. Afterwards we’ll take a break in one of the cozy terraces for a coffee and snack. After lunch in Odyssey you might take a siesta. Second cooking class begins in the afternoon and while enjoying a local wine you’ll get started with the fish and other ingredients you selected in Poros. The fish can be grilled on the BBQ, then served with some freshly prepared salads, sauces, and roasted vegetables. Alternatives are cooking the fish in the oven or frying it in olive oil from our own olive grove.
Day 4. Tuesday: Today is devoted to a visit to the car-free island of Hydra, neighboring island of the Saronic gulf with a picturesque harbor-town. Hydra has a rich history and there are many sights and small churches. The narrow streets are full of small artistic shops. You are free to enjoy Hydra by yourself after the wonderful and friendly tour that you are getting from our guide. On return to Poros dinner will be served at Odyssey or we go to a local tavern to eat.
Day 5. Wednesday: Depending on the season we will visit a number of locations to learn some more about the importance of seasonal ingredients in Greek cuisine, such as picking of indigenous vegetables and herbs. A cooking class is taking place either at the Odysseys cooking studio or on location. Lunch is at Odyssey (or picnic).
Day 6. Thursday: After breakfast you will visit our own lemon and olive grove to learn a bit more about the use of these ingredients in Greek cuisine. In this orchard, lunch is served picnic-style. After returning to Odyssey we begin in the afternoon on our third cooking: a traditional Greek meal which can be enjoyed under a balmy summer night sky in a lovely and relaxed atmosphere.Tonight is the last and most special cooking class, and the preparation of this dinner promises an authentic Greek experience with several surprises
Day 7. Friday: This is a day that you can devote entirely to yourself. You can explore the island itself, or perhaps the mainland (the Peloponnese).
