Mythical wedding on the olive farm

Recently a dream became reality; we had the first wedding ever on my olive farm! The Scandinavian couple Oddney and Tore said their vows next to the sea as their guests watched while sitting on hay bales with Poros town twinkling at sunset in the distance. Both Greek and Norwegian gods seemed to be in the best of moods on the big day. The sky was bright blue, the sun beaming and the air was calm. After a week of feasts at the Odyssey, Greek dancing under the stars, spa treatments, relaxing at the beach and discovering charming Poros, the 50 guests were waiting with anticipation and excitement as they departed for the wedding in the little taxi boats. The groom was eagerly waiting on the farms dock.
With lemon cocktails in hand the guests were all peering through the olive branches to catch a glimpse of the brides arrival by boat.
The brides arrival was announced with small fireworks going off from the little traditional boat, accompanied by horn blasts.
Vows were spoken, the couple made heart felt speeches to one another and a beautiful song delighted everyone.
After the ceremonie the feast started... Greek hors d’oeuvres, fresh salads, grilled meats straight from the barbecue and lovely wines.
Everybody watched the sunset at the beach.
When the sun dissapeared the farm transformed into a fairytale forest. White lanterns and garlands of lights illuminated the party.
As the dj set the vibe for a night of dancing, the dessert was being served: the wedding cake!
The newlyweds and guests danced the night away under the stars.
After the perfect wedding the guests said goodbye to the bride and groom, got in the taxi boats with sweet memories in their hearts and something even sweeter in their hands; my orange marmalade!
Oddney and Tore, I wish you such a beautiful life together!! All my best wishes and love!!

Bravo Katerina. You’re doing more than most to promote Poros. What a beautiful wedding. You made the olive farm a place of fairytales.
I have been to Katarinas olive farm last September. She spoke of this wedding on her visit to Ohio this winter.
