At the Odyssey we love diverse and different happenings! It inspires us and keeps us enthusiastic about what we do. One of them is painting. This year in May, together with American artist Pamela Jane Rogers, we will be able to offer you a two week painting holiday! It will include many painting lessons, Greek cooking, different excursions and a lot of fun!

Artist Pamela Jane Rogers

Pamela has been living in Greece for 26 years and has painted there even longer. She is a ‘Greek’ at heart. Pamela has written the memoir Greekscapes about her life and journey as an artist. She loves Greece, Poros and Greek food so much, but she is most passionate about her painting. Read more about Pamela and see her work in one of our previous blogs!

Poros inspires to paint

A lot of artists are very excited to find inspiration in a peaceful and beautiful environment. Where better than Poros and Odyssey? Here you will find the opportunity to let your creativity flow freely and develop your skills in the wonderful Greek light. You can paint with the group or if you prefer, alone in places like our olive grove or the ancient pine forest.

Art lectures and excursions

The painting week is also a great opportunity to meet local people, cook with me, discover the island and walk through the beautiful streets of Poros-town. Meet fellow artists from around the globe and share experiences and ideas. Follow art lectures from Dr. Francis Broun and philosophize with Rik over a glass of wine and a delicious meal at Odyssey or a local tavern. Visit the island of Hydra, Winery Skouras and the historical site of Epidavros.

Painting in Nafplion

You will also paint a few days in Nafplion, a picturesque seaport town on the Peloponnese peninsula. An elegant city with trendy shops, beautiful streets and great restaurants. We finish the painting holiday with a few days in Athens. A glorious trip full of wonderful experiences! No demands, no expectations, no pressure… just be…. with us!
